The program of performances in 2014 will become the most saturated for the whole history of the festival.

One of the most striking events in the cultural life of the emirate's capital - the festival of classical art in Abu Dhabi - starts on March 2 and will bring together prominent musicians and artists from around the world. The theme of the main program - "Innovation in Creativity" - is designed to highlight the mutual influence of modern art and technology today.

The United States of America, which will represent Bill Fontana, one of the leading American artists and composers, the icon of American jazz Herbie Hancock, as well as the opera diva and the bewitching soprano Rene Fleming and the famous American ballet theater with its colorful theater, became the honorary country of the festival in its 11th edition production of "Coppelia".

Specially for the festival, Bill Fontana wrote the work “Acoustic Visions”, in which he tried to convey melodies inspired by the capital of the UAE.

From the beginning of the 70s, the maestro used sound as a sculptural medium, trying to combine visual and architectural spaces in the minds of viewers. He has implemented musical projects for many world-famous museums, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Modern Gallery of London and Tate Modern, and the Tate Britain Gallery. One of the most prestigious and dynamic orchestras, the European Union Youth Orchestra, will also take part in the festival. They will be conducted by maestro Vladimir Ashkenazi. Founded in 1976, the orchestra consists exclusively of young talents aged 14 to 24 years representing the countries of the European Union.

In addition to the star cast at the Abu Dhabi festival, Milos will perform as a vibrant young performer who caught the attention of classical music fans in 2011 after the release of his debut album, The Guitar. To this day, the name of the guitarist from Montenegro does not leave the top of the charts of classical music around the world.

Closing the festival program will be one of the most sought after and promising musicians in the world - the famous Lebanese pianist and arranger Michelle Fadel, who knows how to give the traditional folk motives of his country a modern sound. He will present his composition "Arab Traditions and Innovations" to the guests of the festival.

Her Excellency Huda al Khamis Kanyu, founder and artistic director of the Abu Dhabi festival, said: "Our festival is an opportunity to once again tell people of different ages and nationalities about the importance of culture and art in human life and, of course, give everyone invaluable minutes of pleasure from outstanding works of art collected from around the world.
