JACKIE

PABLO LARRAINE "JACKIE" RECENTLY RECEIVED ON SCREENS NATALIE PORTMAN IN THE MAJOR ROLE, THIS IS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK INTO LIFE OF ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS WOMEN OF THE PLANET AND REMEMBER WHAT IT HAD TO SURVIVE AFTER THE DEATH OF THE HUSBAND. A STORY ABOUT MYSTERIOUS JACKIE, REFLECTION ON DESTINY AND LOSS, A MIXTURE OF REALITY AND Fiction. THE FILM ACTION HAPPENS FOR FOUR DAYS AFTER THE KILLING OF JOHN F. KENNEDY ON NOVEMBER 22, 1963.

In the White House, Jackie Kennedy was an icon of style, a model of elegance, the embodiment of the American aristocracy. She first met a young Massachusetts congressman named John F. Kennedy at a dinner party in 1952. He "leaned over the asparagus and called her out," and a year later - September 12, 1953 - they got married. In 1957, they had a daughter, Caroline Kennedy, and in January 1960, John nominated himself for the presidential election. Jackie was pregnant and could not travel with her husband around the country, but tried to help him from home: she answered letters, handed out interviews, starred in television commercials and wrote the weekly column “Candidate’s Wife” in the newspaper.

The first task of Jackie as the first lady was to turn the White House into a museum of American history and culture, which would charge guests with patriotism. On February 14, 1962, she conducted a tour around the new House, which was shown on television throughout the country - the audience was a record 56 million people, and Jackie received an Emmy Award for her program.

In the White House, Jackie was known as the patroness of the arts. At official dinners, she invited not only the usual staff - bureaucrats and diplomats, but also leading writers, artists, musicians and scientists of that time.

“Sometimes it happens that one person captures the imagination of people around the world,” presidential adviser Clark Clifford once wrote to her in a letter. “You succeeded. But most importantly, your grace and tact helped you turn this rare achievement into an important resource for our country. "

On November 22, 1963, Jackie rode alongside the president in the Lincoln Continental limousine in Dallas, welcoming the crowd when John Kennedy was shot dead in the head by Lee Harvey Oswald. The stains of blood on the pink suit of Jacqueline and her stoic calm became symbols of that tragedy. It was she who compared the White House under John with Camelot - a knight's castle from the legends of King Arthur. “Great presidents will still appear,” she said, “but there will never be a second Camelot.”

The subsequent assassination of John Kennedy's brother Bobby prompted Jackie to seriously fear for the safety of his children, she wanted to leave America.

In 1968, she married the Greek shipowner and tycoon Aristotle Onassis and left for Greece. But seven years later, in 1975, Jackie again remained a widow.

After the death of her second husband, Jackie returned to her career, which she left after her wedding with Kennedy, and got a job as an editor at Viking Press in New York, then became a senior editor at Doubleday.

Jacqueline died on May 19, 1994 at the age of 64 from lymphoma. She is buried next to President John F. Kennedy at Arlington Cemetery. An eternal flame burns near their graves.

CHILDREN JACQULINE AND JOHN KENNEDY

JOHN F. KENNEDY Jr.

He was only three years old when his father died. Little John won the hearts of people even then, bravely saluting his father’s coffin - all world newspapers printed this photo. John inherited beauty from his parents and has been harassed by journalists all his life. In 1988, People magazine called him "the sexiest man in the world." Lawyer, journalist, publisher of George magazine. There were rumors in the press that he was dating Madonna, Daryl Hannah, Julia Roberts, Brooke Shields, Sarah Jessica Parker ... but in September 1996, John married PR manager Caroline Bessett. He was prophesied to become the new president of America, and he had everything to do it. However, at 38, he died in a plane crash, having crashed with his wife and her sister in the vicinity of Martas Vinyard, Massachusetts.

CAROLINE KENNEDY

Writer, lawyer and diplomat Caroline Kennedy is the only heir to the Kennedy couple. In July 2013, President Barack Obama appointed her US Ambassador to Japan (resigned in 2017). In 1995, she became a co-author of The Right to Privacy. FILM "JACKIE"

In Dubai, the premiere of the movie Jackie took place on January 31 at the Mall of the Emirates with the support of Piaget Jewelry House. Natalie Portman in the film wears the same gold watch and Piaget jewelry that Jackie herself wore in her life. Especially for the Middle East, to honor Jackie Kennedy, Piaget House created two models of jewelry watches: one of rose gold and malachite, and the second of white gold with lapis lazuli.

Natalie Portman was able to perfectly show the key change in the character of Jacqueline in one of the most tragic moments in American history. At some point, Jackie began to methodically calculate her actions to glorify the name of her husband (and her own future). The whole world admired her steadfastness, dignity and self-control. But no one knew what she really worried about these days.

Portman is especially beautiful in the scene when Jackie, along with her husband's brother, Bobby Kennedy, asks the driver of their car a few questions. Does he know how Presidents Garfield and McKinley died? And in response he hears a confident "no." What does he know about Lincoln? “He freed the slaves,” the driver replies.

Jacqueline knew the story very well and understood that it could affect whether people would remember her husband. It was she who insisted that John F. Kennedy have the same funeral as Abraham Lincoln. It was such a successful step that it is now repeated every November, and the date of Kennedy’s death is remembered not only by politicians, but also by ordinary people.
