The Time Magazine considers Sheikh Khalifa an honest and reliable custodian of the welfare of his people, who plans to turn Abu Dhabi into the world center of sustainable energy sources in the post-oil era. A particularly American magazine noted the financial support of the Emirate Sheikh and his efforts in the fight against the international financial crisis and its negative consequences. "Sheikh Khalifa attracted the attention of the world community by the fact that he was able to build a well-functioning social, economic and cultural model in the United Arab Emirates," says The Time. - "Thanks to which the country's inhabitants feel pride in it for neighboring states, its guests and the entire international community."
Speaking of difficulties, The Time notes that “the UAE president has launched a new political reform that aims to increase the participation of citizens in all areas of the national action plan. Parliamentary elections were held for the first time in the country as part of this reform.”
Sheikh Khalifa actively supports programs on the rational use of natural resources and the protection of wildlife, regional and international studies on biological diversity and the environment, which have received international recognition.
