The best terraces of Dubai

We went around the 15 best terraces from which the most breathtaking views open up, and compiled our list of places to look into this season.

Bhar

A lot of good restaurants have already opened in the new design hotel Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai: French Bleu Blanc, a new project of the famous chef David Myers, fusion of Western and Eastern cuisines in the incredible Morimoto (wait for a separate review), stylish Italian Basta ... It’s worth a look into each of the restaurants . But now is the time to visit BHAR, which is located on the third floor of the hotel. The Middle Eastern restaurant and lounge with outdoor terrace is especially good in the evening at sunset.

Address Downtown

In June this year, Address Downtown Hotel finally opened its doors again. The 63-storey hotel has 220 rooms and apartments, a new SPA, several new restaurants and updated versions of our favorite places that worked in the hotel before. The Restaurant's signature restaurant, lobby lounge, Cigar Lounge, Neos top floor bar, Turkish The Galliard, Japanese Katana and American STK steakhouse have already opened, and California's Zeta fusion restaurant opens in November. The views from almost all places are breathtaking, including the Club Lounge terrace.

Eve Penthouse & Lounge

The brand new Eve is the rooftop restaurant at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights. The terrace offers panoramic views of the whole of Dubai, and many city trendsetters often look here for successful photographs. Here you will find both classic luxury and modern hype. On Thursdays, theme parties are held in the style of the Great Gatsby. The penthouse opens daily at 16.30.

Brasserie du park

In addition to the gorgeous view of the bay with yachts and Bourges Khalifa on the horizon, Brasserie Du Park awaits pleasant live music. Every Thursday there are performances by UK singer Claudia Patrice ("Soulful Nights"). During her career, she managed to collaborate with Kylie Minogue, Chaka Khan and Simple Minds. The music is soft and unobtrusive, while creating a light mood and sets the tone for the weekend. As for the menu, the Italian Daniele Gialluisi, who previously worked in the Palazzo Versace kitchen, is responsible for it. He brings international experience in working with Michelin cooks to create dishes at Brasserie Du Park. We especially recommend burrata and truffle pizza. Although everything is delicious there.

Al Sarab Rooftop Lounge

Al Sarab is a two-story rooftop lounge with an authentic Arabian atmosphere and views of the Arabian Desert. After sunset, the bar transforms: the lighting is dimmed, and the evening awaits guests with traditional live music and rich aromas of hookahs. To make the evening a success, Arab singers are invited to Al Sarab. The place is famous for its cozy interior in oriental style, comfortable sofas and carved Arabic lanterns.

The Penthouse

You may know The Penthouse as the venue for the hottest house parties on late Thursday night or the sprightly Ladies Nights on Saturdays - but it also offers great views of the city, Palma and incredible Dubai architecture, so you can simply sit with a glass of wine after work. The Penthouse Dubai is located on the 16th floor of the FIVE Hotel - a club and an evening lounge for adults only, as well as two swimming pools with glass sides. An ideal place to relax, dine and enjoy life.

Levee cafe

La Mer's new Mediterranean restaurant boasts its own pastry shop and direct sea views. The lunch menu (available all day) is based on seasonal ingredients - so all dishes will be fresh and tasty. The menu was designed by chef Chandima Alavata, who previously worked at Vida Downtown, so the restaurant promises "home-cooked food from the heart" and a beautiful presentation. The interior was designed by Dubai-based Innovate Living and designed in the style of New York lofts.

Masti

The target audience of this bar, lounge and restaurant (three in one) are cosmopolitans from around the world. An unusual concept for an Indian restaurant - but Masti goes beyond the plane of one country and combines all the best achievements of the hospitality industry. "Fun and pranks" - something like this translates the word Masti from Hindi. This is the first licensed restaurant in the La Mer area. The terrace that twists around the restaurant is a kaleidoscope of flowers: lime, sea blue and fuchsia, surrounded by dense greenery and vegetation. All this creates a modern and vibrant atmosphere.

Noir Dubai

The provocative cocktail bar and lounge on the 2nd floor of the Kempinski Mall of The Emirates is the ultimate in decadence and elegance. Mixologists will seduce you with stylish glasses with sophisticated cocktails. Corporate service and a good selection of Havana cigars in the mesmerizing VIP Blue Room attract special guests. The terrace offers views of Dubai's landscapes. Brunch begins at midnight on Fridays - unlimited servings of Pan-Asian and Latin American dishes and signature drinks and cocktails. And on Thursdays, from 20.00 to midnight, the girls gather at Ladies Night.

Seagrill Bistro

At SeaGrill at Fairmont the Palm, we recommend a Friday brunch. Food is served at the company, so guests can only sit back in a chair and watch the waiters bring an incredible selection of signature specialties - from appetizers to desserts. The appetizer itself, made of fresh oysters, lobsters, mussels, scallops and octopuses, is served on a beautiful tray with ice and flowing smoke. This is followed by a second salad appetizer with boiled octopus and crumble with foie gras. Main dishes include chicken, fish with calamarata paste, and mushroom fusilli with goat cheese and truffle oil. And the dessert consists of 4-5 different types of cakes and ice cream. An ideal place to get together with friends and have a great time in a relaxed atmosphere. The price of brunch is 345 dirhams per person with soft drinks and 495 dirhams with alcoholic drinks. After the brunch, happy hours follow (from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.), and you can go to the floor above in the Ba Restaurant and Lounge.

Enigma dubai

In 2018, Enigma Dubai introduced a new concept - “Taste of Persia”. The menu was composed by Michelin-based chef Mansour Memaryan, who used to work at the Al Mahara restaurant in Burj Al Arab. The Palazzo Versace team says the next concept is "an intriguing look at the Persian culinary tradition." In winter, you should book a table exclusively on the terrace overlooking the Dubai Bay.

Breeze Lounge

Light snacks, great views and soft sofas next to burning torches. In the open-air lounge on the beach of the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, it is better to drop by at sunset or after dark. You can take a hookah and leisurely watch the magnificent yachts, sparkling marina and the night Arab sea. Whichever way you look - at the sparkling Emirate Palace with its vast territory or at the Persian Gulf - everywhere will be beautiful. A good bonus is the refreshing sea breeze and aristocratic atmosphere.

Ayamna

The restaurant is located in the Atlantis the Palm hotel, and its interior is not inferior in luxury to the hotel itself: white-blue-black geometric ornaments, a wide staircase soaring upwards, an open terrace, where it is so pleasant to dine in the winter season. In the open patio you can sit in comfortable chairs with pillows for live oriental music or order a hookah. Arabic food is traditional but incredibly delicious. Separately, it is worth noting the dishes - perhaps the best in the city: white ceramic bowls and plates with lumpy edges. Perhaps it is they who create a homely atmosphere in the restaurant. Local hummus deserves attention - it is special here. The gentle, creamy aftertaste of hummus from Ayamna you will remember for a long time. It is served with warm hubb cakes - fresh, soft and lush - that are baked right in the restaurant.

Ninive

This lounge restaurant is located in the heart of the city, but at the same time as if in the middle of the desert - this is the feeling that is born in Ninive at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Local chefs interpret the culinary traditions of the East on the menu and invite them to travel through time. The restaurant immerses you in the atmosphere of an oriental fairy tale; moreover, it serves hookah. It owes its name to the ancient city of Nineveh - the capital of Assyria. It was there, according to one version, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon spread. Did this mysterious place really exist, or is it a figment of fantasy? In any case, being in Ninive, I want to believe in a fairy tale.

Folly by Nick & Scott

Folly by Nick & Scott has already received the Time Out Dubai Award as the "Best Bar with a View of 2018" and the "Best Club Playground of 2018" from the Middle East Hospitality Awards. So the place is really worthy. The view opens onto the Madinat canals, the Persian Gulf and Burj Al Arab - everything is beautiful and tasteful. It’s good to sit at sunset and slowly drink a cocktail, at the same time making win-win pictures for Instagram. Every Tuesday, Ladies Nights take place from six in the evening until three in the morning, and the Sundowners (gatherings with wine at the end of the working week) - every Friday from six in the evening.
