Honorary Award

THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION DMITRY MEDVEDEV AWARDED THE RUSSIAN EMIRATES MAGAZINE WITH THE HONORARY LITERATURE OF THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT.

The Russian government awarded the Russian Emirates magazine with an honorary diploma "for its great contribution to the preservation of the Russian language and culture, as well as to the consolidation of compatriots abroad." The award was awarded to Sergey Tokarev, Director General of the Russian Emirates Publishing House, at the XVII World Congress of Russian Press, held June 9-13 in Moscow, from the hands of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

According to Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1022-r dated June 4, 2015, representatives of the following publications also received high awards: England (Great Britain), Prague Express (Czech Republic) and Evening Tbilisi (Georgia). In total, representatives of more than 500 Russian foreign media from 65 countries took part in the congress.

Over more than a decade of history, the Russian Emirates Publishing House has managed to bring its print publications to leading positions not only in the Middle East and Africa, but also in the global Russian-language information space as a whole. Materials on the life of the multinational Russian-speaking diaspora of the UAE, articles, news and essays about the rich history and culture of the peoples of the CIS countries always occupy a special place on the pages of the magazines of the Publishing House. Today, publishing house magazines are published not only in the United Arab Emirates, but also in Russia (St. Petersburg) and Kazakhstan (Astana).
