GENTLE SHADES

Adopt soft pastel colors in the interior that will never go out of style - pale blue, light pink, beige, cold shades of gray, cream tones and muted mint are presented by the brand for the production of paint Valspar Paint, they seem to be endowed with some kind of magical power, have to rest and make our life a little warmer.

“Pastel colors in the interior fall into the main trends of the season without a mistake, because people who live in a bustling city will always strive to find a safe haven at home,” says New York-based designer Stacy Garcia.

FUNCTION BEFORE EVERYTHING

The apartment speaks eloquently about the tastes of its owner. In 2016, there should not be anything superfluous in it, each item should be justified functionally, including the space itself. It’s simply impossible not to become a fan of the modular system for the Bikini Island living room designed by Werner Eisslinger for the Italian furniture factory Moroso, because it is hyperfunctional, combining chairs, tables, hangers, shelves, screens and workplaces at home. Another hit of the season is Le Lit National s Origami Bed by the French brand Elise Fouin Design Studio: this is a bed with pockets for storing newspapers and things, the back of which turns into a bookcase and even a table. Indispensable items of the Slovenian brand Lina, the winner of the prestigious Interior Innovation Award in the furniture industry in 2015, whose calling card is upholstered furniture, are lemon yellow, bright red and light green armchairs of the Moon, which adjust to a frivolous mood and easily transform into tables , sofas and even beds as you wish.

GOLD AND COPPER

When decorating the living room, bathroom and kitchen, rely on metals in warm colors - pink gold, brass and copper look fresh and especially solemn. According to London-based interior designer Gemma Gordon-Duff of Gordon-Duff & Linton, the gold in the house will not look "prestigious" and "elite" when combined with natural marble and raw wood. This trend has long been beaten in the Bottega Veneta interior boutique, where the Bottega Veneta Home 2016 collection is presented. Gold and brass became a favorite motif from designer Patricia Arquiola, who invented the Cuna bathtub for the Italian brand Agape, and from Aric Levy, who released the Bowl Collection for Spanish brand Inbani - white ceramics combined with copper and marble.

70 - E

The most popular and sought-after trend in the interior is the return of the 70s. This deliberately provocative, bold and relaxed design moved into the homes of ordinary citizens and seems to linger there for a long time. The Calabasas Collection by designer Stacy Garcia for D 'Style guesses its individual features - a black chest of drawers with gold-plated Calabasas Dresser handles, a leather chair with metal legs Calabasas Lounge Chair and, finally, a table lamp Calabasas Table Lamp - quality factor, a combination of play and seriousness, intricate openwork patterns on lamps. "The era of the 70s is characterized by increased theatricality, it is a camp, a vulgar taste, and I adore it," says designer Jonathan Adler.

COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT

Ecostyle with its special philosophy, which had a tangible impact on the world of interior design, has become a recognized phenomenon. Here, only environmentally friendly materials without the use of formaldehyde, harmful chemicals and metal-containing azo dyes - bamboo walls, cork coatings, stone and the revival of the fashion for rattan wicker furniture. According to Polly Dickens, creative director of Habitat, rattan confidently occupies its niche in the furniture industry and is increasingly being used to create lamps and accessories in a minimalistic interior using 3D technology.
