The famous harpist Xavier de Mestre will give two concerts in the emirate of Abu Dhabi - December 6 at the gallery Manarat Al Saadiyat and December 7 at Fort Bin Hamouda in Al Ain.
The musician will devote his first evening to Spain and perform works by Isaac Albeniz, Enrique Granados and Manuel De Falli. In the oasis city, de Mestre will perform compositions by Claude Debussy and Gabriel Foret.
Xavier de Mestre was born in Toulon. He began to play the harp at the age of 9 in Paris under the guidance of Katherine Michael and Jacqueline Borot. He belongs to that elite of soloists who discover new facets and possibilities of their own instrument.
His interpretations of compositions not performed on the harp before, brought the musician a reputation as one of the most creative and extraordinary harpers of the generation.
