French operator opens two new hotels in Dubai

New MGallery-branded hotels will appear in Business Bay and Bur Dubai.

French operator Accor has announced two hotel management deals with the Khamas Group of Investments. As a result, two new hotels under the MGallery brand will open in Dubai.

MGallery Business Bay, adjacent to the upcoming Marasi facility, will have 144 rooms. It will be located in the same building as the Mama Shelter, introduced by Accor last April.

The hotel has four restaurants, including a rooftop bar, poolside bar, 24-hour restaurant and executive lounge. It should be open in 2021.

The 164-room MGallery Bur Dubai will appear as a result of a rebranding of another hotel. It will house a 24-hour restaurant, three lounges, an Indian chef Sanjiev Kapura's restaurant and two nightclubs. The hotel also has an indoor pool, rooftop pool and spa.

"However, as Dubai continues to grow as a world-class city, we notice many places for leisure and business, which makes it possible to expand our lifestyle portfolio using concepts such as MGallery, 25Hours and Mama Shelter," said COO AccorHotels Middle East Sami Nasser.

AccorHotels already has more than 70 hotels operating or under construction in the UAE. In the Middle East and Africa, the operator has more than 300 hotels.
