Arrays of mangroves in the UAE are the largest among the Gulf countries.
Dubai, UAE. Over the past decades, the United Arab Emirates has been actively replenishing reserves of mangrove resources, as a result of which they have become leaders among the Gulf countries by this parameter.
According to a report by the King Abdul-Aziz Center for Science and Technology, satellite imagery shows that the UAE has become the “home” for 50% of all mangroves growing in the region. Overgrowth has recently doubled.
