Drunk Russian attacked a policeman at Dubai airport

A Russian traveler, intoxicated, made his way into the restricted area of the airport and hit a policeman trying to stop him.

A court in Dubai is hearing the case of a 33-year-old Russian traveler who, while intoxicated, hit a policeman.

In November last year, the accused tried to enter the departure zone of Dubai International Airport, which is prohibited for passengers, and the police stopped the man trying to return him to the airport building. The Russian did not respond to the requirements of the employee and, according to the case file, attacked the policeman.

Police detained the traveler after an officer reported the incident.

The Russian is accused of resisting and attacking a law enforcement officer. The man did not appear in the Dubai court of first instance. Last week, the court on offenses fined the accused for 3 thousand dirhams ($ 816) for drinking alcohol.

The police officer testified that the suspect opened the emergency door and went out.

“The suspect entered the restricted area where no one can be - this is dangerous for the movement of the aircraft. I rushed to the suspect and asked him to return ... he ignored me and continued to walk. I persistently asked him to stop and return, but when he did not fulfill my request I grabbed him. He aggressively resisted and hit me. He pushed me, poked two fingers in my eyes, hit me in the stomach and ran away. Due to injuries I could not run after him, but I contacted the staff and notified them about what happened, "sweat testified sore.

The presiding judge adjourned the case until the suspect took part in the upcoming hearing on February 4.
