In the emirate of Sharjah, a fire destroyed millions of dirhams

Last week, a warehouse burned out in the emirate of Sharjah. Millions of goods were destroyed.

Goods worth millions of dirhams were destroyed by a serious fire that occurred in a warehouse in the new industrial zone of the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE, last week.

Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, director of civil defense for Sharjah, said the department received a fire report at 1:50 on Wednesday. A firefighter team arrived at the scene in less than four minutes. The team, consisting of Al Jarf firefighters and industrial area fire safety stations, was assisted by the Sharjah municipality, which supplied it with water. The fire was extinguished for 30 minutes.

Al Shamsi emphasized that Civil Defense, in coordination with the police department, initiates an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

Al Shamsi called on the owners of warehouses and industrial enterprises to provide regular maintenance of fire fighting equipment and ensure the safety of electrical connections at the facilities, while observing the rules for the proper storage of goods.
