Dubai's first all-inclusive resort announces an increase in guest numbers

Rixos The Palm Dubai reports a 12 percent increase in the number of guests who prefer an all-inclusive holiday.

Rixos The Palm Dubai, Dubai's first all-inclusive all-inclusive Palm Jumeirah beachfront resort, has announced double-digit growth for guests who opt for an all-inclusive holiday experience.

Since its launch in early 2016, visitors who have opted for "all inclusive" now account for nearly a third (30 percent) of the total number of guests. At the same time, the resort’s income increased to 24 million dirhams ($ 6.5 million) from 14 million dirhams ($ 3.8 million) at the end of last year.

The all-inclusive concept implies unlimited access to the resort's food and drinks in all restaurants and bars for guests throughout their stay at no additional cost.

Cenk Unverdi, general manager of Rixos The Palm Dubai, said: "Although the all-inclusive concept is popular in travel destinations around the world, it was relatively unknown in the area, and we expected the huge success we received."

"We are very pleased to be the first resort in Dubai to offer such a unique system that caters to people, couples and families, reaffirming our commitment to providing world-class luxury hospitality," he said

Nakheel is currently evaluating 10 proposals for the construction of a new 800-room RIU resort beach on the Deira Islands, which will also offer all-inclusive holidays. A joint venture between Nakheel and the leading Spanish hotel group RIU Hotels & Resorts will be launched in 2020.
