Dubai Fashion Week Unveils Talent ...

The fifth season of the largest Middle East fashion event, Dubai Fashion Week, was held in triumph at the five-star Jumeirah Emirates Towers from April 5 to 9 this year. The world community is already beginning to recognize the new fashion capital in Dubai, and the Week has become yet another confirmation of this point of view.

Over the course of the Week, over 30 fall-winter 2010 designer collections were shown in front of elected representatives of the Dubai beau monde, the media and fashion professionals. In 18 brilliant fashion shows, accompanied by modern music and accompanied by lighting effects, both the recognized and the beginning designers from the UAE, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent demonstrated their best models. Enchanting, extravagant, breathtaking, colorful - with these words you can safely characterize the luxurious collections of the upcoming season, which 39 model girls from the local agency showed with grace. They, and deservedly, were devoted to the praises of famous world fashion trendsetters.

To the start, attention ...

The bright start of Dubai Fashion Week gave a grandiose show in a single catwalk of the collections of two designers from India - Rakhi Raipanchola and Amit GT - with evening dresses of the most fashionable shades of the season and the most different lengths, with asymmetrical "air" toilets, worn on one shoulder, from chiffon, silk and satin.

Fashion designer Ecta Singh presented her creations at Dubai Fashion Week for the first time. Kaftans traditional for the East, casual and wedding dresses, according to Ecta, were inspired by the distant past, when emperors and shahs were in power. Each outfit was decorated with multi-colored stones and rhinestones, and models walked barefoot along the catwalk, as if returning the audience to the past. Two new thematic collections from Royal Rickshaw, embroidered with sequins, Swarovski rhinestones, beads, beads and decorated with floral appliques, were divided into youth and more elegant, even conservative lines.

When the Bollywood choreographer Vikram Pkhadnis decided to radically change his career and become a clothing designer, not many believed in his success. The show at this Dubai Fashion Week once again proved that Vikram made the right choice. His collection included voluminous long skirts (for example, it took more than 75 meters of taffeta to sew one of the skirts), velvet trousers, and, of course, vests with gold and bronze embroideries on black, gold, bright red, lilac and purple background.

The final touch of the first day of Dubai Fashion Week, like last year, was the fashion show of the famous Lebanese couturier Valid Atall. At the audience’s trial, the eminent designer presented 42 dresses with or without corsets, with one-year or “mermaid tail” skirts decorated with precious stones and Swarovski crystals, and at the end of the show, Valid simply struck the audience with his five luxurious wedding dresses embroidered with pearls, gold threads and precious stones.

Makeup Day and Bollywood Stars

The second day of the week began with a show of hairstyles and makeup by stylist Alexis Dralet, representing the famous beauty corporation L'Oreal. Bright scarlet lips, multi-colored shadows on the eyelids of green, yellow, red, purple and blue shades with a metallic effect, as well as bronze blush become, according to the professional, fashion trends of the coming season. Clothing models provided store Luxecouture.

Renowned in the French fashion get-together, designer Ali Fawaz, collaborating for a long time with fashion houses Lolita Lempica, Christian Lacroix and Yamamoto, presented a collection of long evening dresses with Drops of Silk and Cristal trains ("Drops of silk and crystal"). The glamorous and sensual collection of dresses from flowing silk and crepe de chine was presented with all the colors of the rainbow - from red and yellow to purple.

The KashMIRI boutique introduced Dubai to three talents at once - accessory designer Mira Mahadevia and newcomer Ajaz Rahim, who presented a collection of bags, pashmina scarves decorated with precious stones and embroidery, magnificent headwear, and Pakistani designer Hassan Sheheriar Yasin, inspired by Yasin, the beauty of nature on the azure coast of the French Riviera. KashMIRI clothing and accessories collections can be purchased at the Souk Al Bahar mall in Downtown Burj Dubai, as well as Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Festival City.

Maryam Al Mazro, who glorified herself as the Mimi Fashion Designs brand, appeared in the fashionable horizon of the Emirates relatively recently, only 1.5 years ago, but she was already able to fall in love with fans of unusual and stylish things. Her collection of long dresses with loose wide sleeves was divided into five color directions: polka dots, stripes, geometric shapes, floral prints and paisley ornaments.

Studio 8 multi-brand international boutique presented collections of several talented designers at once. The show was opened, to the loud applause of the guests of Dubai Fashion Week, the Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary in a golden long dress from Priya Kataari Puri.

Fashion designer Chitra Amarnani continued the luxurious theme with the Sweet Range collection of chic traditional oriental dresses - abaya embroidered with rhinestones, stones, beads and pearls. This was followed by a show of a cheerful, with a romantic touch, collection by Aisha Ramadan and HSY, but, no doubt, won the audience Manish Malhotra, who himself opened the show of his collection, appearing on the catwalk in a black velvet suit with gold trim. Manisha also took part in the catwalk, and a special Bollywood favorite, actor Tushar Kapoor, specially flown in for this occasion from Mumbai.

New talents and luxury of princesses

Day Three began with a show of collections of six young designers taking their first steps as designers, who were featured on the Emerging Talent show. In almost every model of clothing or accessories there was a youth spirit, freedom and flight of imagination. Designers put on mini-skirts, cocktail dresses, maxi dresses, corsets, skirts, pants and original accessories - hats, half masks, massive beads and large earrings to the audience.

Amber Feroz and Charu Parashar held a joint fashion show and showed dresses of different lengths of silk, organza and chiffon, with assemblies and corrugations on the chest, free and tight-fitting silhouettes.

Amir Adnan presented an amazing collection of “Princess” evening dresses, in which classical black color prevailed, as well as a men's collection consisting of long tunic shirts embroidered with colored stones in a traditional Indian style. Amir finished the famous Indian artist M.F. Hussein, who entered the podium in an embroidered robe with his beloved tassel in his hands.

The Dubai darling continued - fashion designer Salma Khan, with her long and short elegant evening dresses "in the shape" of yellow, red and purple shades, vaguely reminiscent of the style of the 1960s, with luxurious embroidery with multi-colored stones.

And finally, with the final show on that day, Hassan Sheberiyar Yasin, known for his HSY brand, appeared with the delightful autumn-winter collection Rouge Royal. HSY women, according to Hassan, prefer the passionate color of power and energy - red. Red bracelets, red shoes and the same color of the bag were carefully selected for each designer’s side. The HSY men's line was inspired by the masculinity of the Spanish matadors, whose attire, nevertheless, was also present in eastern colors.

Last day - final

The fourth day of Dubai Fashion Week began with workLeading hairdressers of the premium beauty salon - Dessange Paris. Four masters worked on evening hairstyles of models dressed in evening dresses from Ekaterina and Maria Fashion, directly in front of the public creating true masterpieces of hairdressing.

The cheerful and vibrant collection of Jay Sing and Parves Kumar, producing clothes under the Parvesh Jai brand, was represented by luxurious and elegant dresses, sewn as if for dolls. Long and fluffy dresses of yellow, green, purple and orange shades with embroidered floral motifs, decorated with heavy stones, crystal buttons and pearls, as well as intricate hats with veils and multi-colored shoes conquered those present with a fabulous atmosphere.

Emirate designer Amal Murad presented a collection of traditional headscarves (sheila) and Arabic women's outerwear (abaya) in a modern vision. In the traditional black color, she added colored inserts on the sleeves, collar and belt of white, red, green and blue tones, and complemented the composition with large pockets and hoods. By the way, in the near future, the designer plans to open his own boutique in Wafi City.

Sisters from the UAE, Rome and Hind Ali Beljafla, known among the local population thanks to their own brand DAS, presented their vision of a modern oriental woman in colorful dresses - abayas with bright prints and metal inserts that can be worn both for work and for a festive dinner.

The enchanting end of Dubai Fashion Week ensured the display of evening collections of the famous BODYAMR brand. Thanks to stylish and sophisticated models, BODYAMR has once again confirmed its “star” status and answered the question of why world famous celebrities such as Claudia Schiffer, Christina Aguiller and Rihanna give preference to clothes of this brand.
